Earlier this week we talked about the best concealers to cover dark undereye circles. Today we are going to talk about the tools you need to apply them. I mean there are literally dozens of brushes, sponges, etc available, how do you know which ones to choose? Well I’m breaking down my top tools and tips to apply concealer for you!
If I had to go with only one brush (I’d die) the MAC #195 brush would probably be it. It has a great pointy edge to get into corners but the fuller part allows you to cover more ground when blending .
I like the Crown oval lip brush (yes I said lip brush) to spot cover blemishes and for covering just that part of the inner eye corner that is the darkest. It prevents you from spreading your darker concealer out too far.
This Crown foundation brush is great when you are using those heavier cream concealers. It helps to blend out and prevent excess product from sitting in one area. This makes your overall look more natural. I’d use it to blend, not apply.
Ok I just recently fell in love with the Sephora pro airbrush concealer brush. Amazing. I’d use it to apply and buff out your highlighting concealer. I’ll be posting an updated concealer tutorial soon and show you exactly what I mean.
If you watched my “Updated foundation routine” video you’ll know how much I love this sponge. It’s not only great for foundation though, it’s good for concealer too, just use the pointy tip to push the concealer into the skin and blend out the highlight.
What’s your fav tool to apply concealer?
