Ok so call me a bad Canadian, but I don’t normally tune into our awards shows with as much enthusiasm as I do for our neighbors down south. However this year’s Much Music Video Awards was an exception as their were bigger names than ever before both presenting and attending. This show just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year it seems! Big enough for me to come across some pretty cool makeup looks/inspiration. Here are my top picks:

Katy Perry. Love the blue hair and that the makeup doesn’t fight for attention with the hair, but compliments it. She performed later on with butterfly appliques on her eyes. Pretty cool look.

Selena Gomez. The bright lips with the neutral color dress is an unexpected choice and works really well here.

Kreesha Turner. She’s rocking the classic smokey eye/pale lip combo and it works so well with the outfit. Loving the scenery too 😉

Alyssa Reid. Her makeup always looks so pretty and enhances her beautiful features rather than making her look too made up.

Carly Rae Jepsen- saved the best look for last! Love, love, love how they made her eyes totally pop with the dark shadow against the light eyes. This has got to be one of my fav makeup techniques.
