A few weeks ago I was invited to a beauty event held by the Environmental Defence group in Toronto. Now normally I do go to most of the events I am invited to, but this one I was particularly excited about as all of the products featured were toxin free. I have been making some changes in my life recently, cutting back on processed foods and refined sugars, switching to natural/organic skin care and becoming increasingly curious about toxin free makeup. Can I say I am glad I went to this event! There were some great natural cosmetic lines, hair care and mani/pedi services amongst other products offered. If you get a chance, check out the Environmental Defence website and sign the pledge to have serious yucky toxins banned from all cosmetics sold in Canada.
