Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing one of the biggest names in all things Social Media, Gary Vaynerchuk. When I say one of the biggest names, I mean one of the biggest names. He’s taken his position as manager of his Dad’s wine shop and turned it into a career running his own media company with over 600 employees, 3 best selling books and 1.2 million followers on Twitter.
I discovered GaryVee about 5 years ago when my cousin’s husband told me I had to read his book, Crush It!.
I highly recommend this book if you’re thinking to start a blog of your own or anything to do with social media. It’s incredibly inspiring and I love his writing style, you can just feel the passion pouring out of him!
So by this time I was hooked and when it came time for his next book to be released, The Thank You Economy I per-ordered it. I can say I was not disappointed. This book had more to do with how the economy has now changed from previous years and how the most important thing you need to know to do business these days is that the way you treat people is more valuable than anything else you can offer.
The last book I read of his was probably by far my favorite, Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook. If you want to learn how to utilize the most popular social apps and use them effectively, read this book. It goes into depth on how each platform differs and how your approach to them should differ as well. Now that I think about it, I should probably dust it off again and give it another read!
