I recently got to attend the premiere for the film Freeheld at the Toronto International Film Festival, otherwise known as TIFF 2015. I was invited by L’Oreal Paris, they had an amazing event set up for us bloggers! There was a structure built for us that overlooked the red carpet so we could see the stars arriving.

 

As for my outfit, my dress is from Zara, you can find it here, and my booties are Vince Camuto, I found similar ones here.

 

 

There were literally people everywhere you looked and it was pretty exciting to hear the screams from the crowds as each celeb pulled up. The tent in the far right is where all the media is set up for interviews before the celebs enter the movie hall.

 

 

Inside the L’Oreal suite, they had all sorts of goodies for us like wine, delicious treats and a lipstick bar set up for us where we could choose our lipstick shade, and then dip them into these big, beautiful jars of loose shimmer. Every girls makeup dream!! 😉

The film we were at the premiere for was Freeheld, starring Julianne Moore & Ellen Page. It’s a really great film and based on a true story about these two lovers and the challenges they face when one of the characters finds out she has cancer. Very touching.

 

 

The premiere took place at the Roy Thompson Hall. Being there always feels a little nostalgic for me. As most of you know, I host the TV show Eye on Asia. My co-host Darshan Sahota is my Uncle and when I was little he used to throw these big Bollywood shows back in the day with all of the biggest names in Bollywood. A lot of these shows took place at Roy Thomspon Hall. My memories of that place are running around backstage with my cousins, watching all the celebs walking around. Such great memories 🙂
