Ladies!! It’s finally Spring! No one is happier about this than me, I feel like a bear during winter, and hibernation does not feel natural. I love this time of year, when the clothing layers start to peel off, the patios start to open up and everyone’s smiles get bigger & brighter. Spring brings with it change, hence spring cleaning- out with the old, in with the new, and that applies to every part of our life, including our skin.
Here is how to get your skin ready for Spring in 5 easy steps:
1. Out with the old. Now is the perfect time to go through your skin care & makeup collection and throw out any products that have expired. If you’re not sure how long to keep items, here is a chart I created a while back that will help.
2. Get a facial. There is no quicker way to clean up your skin than a facial. Facials remove dead skin and blackheads that have accumulated over the winter and help to renew your skin.
3. Exfoliate everywhere. Invest in a good body scrub (none of those ones with the walnut or apricot pits- those will damage your skin by giving you micro lacerations).
Let’s remove the dead skin and get those legs and arms ready for the summer sun!
4. Go for a mani/pedi. It’s time to clean up those cuticles and get ready to show off our nails. Spring/summer nail colors are so much fun and let’s not forget about the cute sandals we get to wear! I love Burt’s Bees Coconut foot creme to keep your feet soft and hydrated.
5. In with the new. Invest in a few new colors for the eyes/lips that are on trend with this season. The most popular look for spring? Orange lips. Illamasqua has a great shade, Soaked.
