A little while back I was invited to an event thrown by Maybelline and Garnier in honor of Mother’s Day. Normally I would’ve taken my mom, but my best friend Sonalee (who is a mom herself) was in town visiting from Australia. She always hears about these events that I go to but is too far to attend so I thought it would be fun to take her to one! I’m gonna warn you, there are a ton of pics in this post, but all fun ones 🙂

ROI relations is the team behind these events and they always do a spectacular job.

The event was held at Nyood in Toronto which is a great little restaurant. There was so much to do and see from makeup stations to nails, fragrance and a place to create your own custom lip cookies.

Here’s me getting my nails did.

They had awesome press ons, which have totally improved from the press ons from a decade ago.  I went for a light, bright pink while Sonalee opted for a neon pink with a leopard accent nail. Why not I say!Demeter, a custom fragrance company was on hand to create custom creations for us. You basically pick a few different scents that you like and they combine them for you. I combined Ocean with Cookie dough. I mean really, can you imagine a better combo?! I didn’t think so.

Maybelline was on hand giving makeovers. I had my makeup on already (of course) but the girls were doing an amazing job on the guests.

All in all it was an amazing night, and I’m so glad that I got to share it with Sonalee. Can’t wait to see what the next event is like!
