If you remember back in August my brother got married in sunny Utah..the wedding was amazing and it was such a great trip because 80 of my family members flew down to celebrate with us. We all stayed at the same hotel which was unbelievable because every night there would be hotel room parties, with the adults in one room, older cousins in another and us in our room..So much fun!!
The reception was at the Sundance resort in Utah which is owned by Robert Redford (so cool!) and it was just the most gorgeous location with mountains and streams everywhere you looked. Here’s a pic of the hall we were in.
My fav part was the bar outside on the patio, I don’t have a pic of it but it was lit up with candles and when it got dark it looked beautiful. The whole venue looked amazing and I love the centrepieces they chose!
Now for my outfit, I actually bought this as a lengha which is a traditional Indian blouse and full skirt. I changed my mind and got it made as an Anarkali, which is sort of like a baby doll dress with super tight leggings. I wanted something uber bright, hence the fuchsia and blue.
Check out all of the beautiful outifts and colors everyone wore!
My cousins Monique & Kelly and I traveled to Vienna, Austria last summer and while I was there I picked up a Swarovski crystal paisley tattoo. Vienna is the home of Swarovski so I figured it would prob be the place with the most selection. I loved wearing it! Although by the end of the night the crystals, apart from 2 were all gone. Lol.
For my makeup I basically recreated my “Dramatic Purple” tutorial but substituted Star’s n Rockets on the eyes for MAC’s Passionate eyeshadow, and Chatterbox lipstick for MAC’s Girl About Town. Everything else was the same. Here’s the vid-
Don’t be afraid to make color substitutions when it comes the tutorials, it’s all subjective to the clothes you’re wearing and mood you’re in. The application and positioning of the hues is what is important! And don’t hesitate to ask me any questions if you get stuck 😉
