There are a ton of products out there that claim to give you thick, luxurious hair but you can only do so much once it emerges from your scalp, what we often forget is that beauty actually begins on the inside. Literally.
If you want thicker strands, try looking at your local health food store. There are some great supplements that you can take to promote follicular development. Some of the ones that I have heard that work really well are:
BioSil. Boosts your body’s production of collagen, in turn strengthening your individual hair strands. And it’s good for your skin & nails too.
Omegas. If you’re a fan of Dr. Oz, you know he loves this stuff, and for good reason too. Omegas prevent your scalp from drying out which in turn prevents unnecessary hair loss.
Viviscal. This one has gotten rave reviews by celebs for its results and 100% natural ingredients.
But just like anything else, if you want to look healthy on the outside, you have to begin by being healthy on the inside. So go eat your veggies!

Hey Deepa,
I discovered you on youtube, while browsing for makeup tips. Do you have any tips for giving volume to fine & thinning hair? Also, i see in your videos you have soooo much MAC makeup! Kudos! Wish I could afford all of that! I am maybe one shade darker than you and i too use NC42, any tips to make your eyes POP without overdoing the eyeshadow? I have really light eyes (honey) and black hair, I need a makeup do for a special occasion. My outfit will be navy blue and gray, any ideas? or maybe you can post a video on youtube for me to view?
I too am indian, but West Indian (Caribbean) 🙂

I recently did a post on vitamins for thicker hair- http://blog.deepaberar.com/2011/09/29/how-to-get-thicker-hair.aspx
As for your eyemakeup, with honey colored eyes, purple will make them pop the best. You can try a smokey purple look, should go really nice with your outfit. I’ll be posting a look this Friday for you.
