So MAC came out with a new foundation and concealer last week called Pro Longwear. It is designed to last all day on your face, so no melting off or shifting about into the various lines surrounding your mouth and eyes. I wanted to test the products out and give them a fair chance before I wrote a review. So here’s my two cents:
Foundation- If you are getting married and you’re concerned about staying power, or if you are going somewhere hot and tropical and you don’t want your foundation to melt off, this one is good for you. For any other circumstance, it’s a bit much. The product is a little bit thicker and doesn’t blend into the skin as nicely as other foundations (for an everyday look). But then again, I like my foundation application to be more sheer (hello Face & Body!) so you may not have the same preferences as me.
Concealer- Love this concealer. It stays put and doesn’t look heavy at all as it is in a liquid formula. The coverage is really good too, although if you have darker circles around your eyes (like me!) it could use a tiny bit more coverage. I think maybe I’m just spoiled by MAC Studio Finish concealer.
I should also mention that they came out with a bunch of longwear lip colors as well, I am not a fan of longwear lipsticks as they dry out my lips, but these are the best I’ve tried to date as they are pretty creamy and moist.
Anyways, try these out for yourself, if you don’t want to commit to purchasing the product, just stop by the counter and you can grab a couple of samples.

Love your blog!! I’m interested in the prolongwears..but are the lipsticks as good as the old prolongwears..I hear they are more sheer. Also, does the foundation run dark? I’m an NC35 in most foundations. Thanks!
Thanks! I like the new lipsticks more than the old just cause they’re more like a lipstick in the fact that they come in a tube and are creamy when you apply them. As for the colors of the foundations, they are pretty much similar to the rest but a little more yellow. You would probably still be an NC35 but get them to try it on you when you go to the counter.
