A friend of mine was recently asking me for some advice on how to cover up the rosacea on her cheeks, so I thought I would share my advice with all of you in case one of you is experiencing the same problem. Rosacea is an appearance of red in the skin causing the face to look blotchy. Although it is a relatively harmless condition, there are some topical medications that can help treat this problem. Talk to your dermatologist for further information.
For makeup tips, the best thing I can recommend is to use a concealer with a really good coverage (like MAC’s Studio Finish) and very lightly press it onto the areas that need covering. Top with your foundation and powder and you are good to go. There are such things as green color correctors, which in terms of color theory would work, however there is the small problem that they make your skin look green, so i wouldn’t recommend it.
Hope this helps!
