Hope you guys are having a fantastic weekend so far! I am currently at the airport waiting to board a flight back to San Diego to visit the hubby for a couple of weeks! Can not wait to see him 🙂 So if you follow me on snap, you would’ve seen our ladies night in Burlington last weekend. My friends Jasmina & Kaitryn have milestone birthdays this year so we went out to celebrate!
If you guys recall I mentioned letting you into my world so I’ve decided to share posts on my adventures out and about! This post took place in my hometown, Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I was born in Hamilton which is one city over but we moved to Burlington when I was 5 and I’ve lived there pretty much ever since. It’s such a great city, so pretty and clean and the people are so kind, I feel very fortunate to have grown up here 🙂
Not to mention that it’s consistently rated in the top 3 cities to live in Canada! Not a bad deal at all. Back to our girls night. My cousin Monique came over and we headed downtown to meet up with the ladies. Our first stop was Honey West for drinks. It’s a cute little spot, if you go you have to get their martinis, sooo good!
The top I’m wearing is from Winner’s and the lipstick is my latest go to, Too Faced Melted Matte in Queen B. The eyes are my absolute fav palette of late, the Modern Renaissance from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I mean I don’t know of any other palette that has all killer shadows and zero fillers.
Here’s Monique & Kaitryn catching up! No girls night would be complete without a little makeup talk. Monique was showing me her recent Back 2 MAC lipstick, Purple Smoke which is a gorgeous dark purple shade.
Here are Jasmina and myself. I’ve known Jasmina for years and I can say she is just one of the kindest, most caring, fun girls I’ve ever met. Totally the epitome of Deep Beauty. Her and her hubby Gil own an indoor Golf facility, FarAway Greens in Burlington which you guys have to check out if you’re close by. I’m so proud of them and all they’ve accomplished!
Back to the ladies night, we headed over to Downtown Bistro & Grill for dinner. I had the Bistro burger (no bun- on a bed of lettuce) with the fries. I’m not 100% on the AIP diet anymore, I’ve been working with a naturopath and she has me off gluten and my dairy intake has cut back a lot (I’m not perfect- definitely a sucker for a good charcuterie board!!). The food was great and the drinks even better!
We went onto the B&B downtown by the lake for dancing. Birthday shots for the ladies!
So I have to say it. I’m officially getting old. Saying this because I was ready to head home by midnight haha. I used to be a dancing queen! Honestly, there wasn’t a dance floor I hadn’t met where I wasn’t the last person dancing. Glad we stuck around though because we would’ve missed out on Curdz..
Didn’t know Burlington has some good 2am spots for food! The poutine was fantastic. I had the Yolo Nacho (seriously any excuse for Mexican food) so, so good. It was gigantic, I took the leftovers home and it literally took 3 sittings to finish! Definitely recommend this place.
So that was our evening! Question- when was your last ladies night and what did you guys do?
