Summer is always fun when it comes to fashion & beauty, but one of my fav parts- nails. Everyone is out in cute sandals showing off their beautifully polished toes, it’s such a fun time of year 🙂

Here are my picks for Summer 2014’s nail trends:

 

 

This has to be one of my favorite nail shades ever. Light or dark mint/teal is so pretty and the great thing is it suits pretty much every skin tone, it’s just a matter of finding the right shade for you.

 

 

Normally you don’t equate dark polishes with summer, but this summer is a little different as darker hues are popping up in several brands.

 

 

The quickest way to dress up any mani is to add a glittery accent nail. Usually worn on the ring finger, it’s a fun look and you can choose from a silver/gold glitter or a colorful shade- there are so many glitter polishes out there to choose from.

 

 

We all know how popular Orange lips are this year, so it comes as no surprise that it would be a popular shade for nails too. Go dark or light or even subdued with a great Melon shade.

 

 

Alessandra Ambrosio really kicked off this trend with this mani she wore to Coachella this year. It’s an ombre base with nail art drawn on, and with the tools available these days it isn’t terribly difficult to recreate, just takes a lot of patience.
