The 70th annual Golden Globes show was on last night, and while experts predicted a very colorful runway, there was actually a lot of black and neutral colors worn by the actresses. The looks for the most part were either soft and feminine or a little more glam edgy. Here are some great looks and trends to give you some ideas for your hair, makeup and fashion.

One huge trend on the red carpet was side swept hair. My fav style being worn by Jennifer Lopez. I think it stands out more on her because of the slight ombre hair tone.

Next up is Julianne Hough. She went for a very feminine poofy dress and combined it with this fun, edgy, rocker updo. The edges were slicked and the top was teased to give a ton of volume at the roots. I love that the makeup artist didn’t go too heavy with the look as it balanced out the hair.

Nicole Richie opted for a blue eyeshadow to go with her blue Naeem Khan dress (one of my fav designers!). The look was so mod 60’s and fun and trendy! We normally don’t see actresses taking risks like this, especially on the red carpet so it was a refreshing change from the norm.

Ok now for my fav dress of the night, worn by Katharine McPhee. The neckline was so daring but she totally pulled the look off!

Another fav look of the night was Amanda Seyfried. The dress she wore was so unique, and elegant and different. Very beautiful.
