Back in April I went to an event thrown by the Women’s Healthy Environments network and Fashion Takes Action. I was super excited to attend as while it was a fashion/beauty event, it was different than most in that almost all of the vendors either support sustainable/green living or holistic beauty. I got to meet a lot of really cool people and try some amazing toxic free beauty products which I will review for you soon. They even had an eco-friendly fashion show! If you get a chance you should def check out their event next year. Here are some pics from Connect Beauty!

The venue- Lots of people turned up which was pretty exciting! They were giving out drink tics and instinctively I got excited (!) but then remembered I had just started my detox so sadly I had to turn it down..lol

There were a bunch of really cool items up for auction too!

The fashion show. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay to watch as my cousin was throwing a surprise dinner for his wife at one of my fav restaurants- Oliver & Bonacini. They have the best gourmet mac & cheese ever! I had the soup instead. Darn detox!! Anywho, I heard the show was amazing 🙂

Holly & Ivy. They are an online natural beauty store that is about to launch, the cool thing about them is that 50% of their proceeds goes towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Support fund.

Can’t wait till next year’s event!
