Every year it happens. Winter comes around and saps us of our energy, leaving us feeling dull & drained. Come April we’re all covered in cobwebs and not nearly ready for what lies ahead- Summer. Well here are some great spring cleaning tips for dusting yourself off and getting you ready for the upcoming months!
Throw out any old/expired cosmetics. Most cream products can last 6-8 months, powders 1 year and mascaras 2 months. Don’t start spring with yucky bacteria in your makeup!
Inject some color into your life. Color is huge right now, it’s everywhere you look! Embrace the trend and include some new pops of color into your wardrobe, accessories and makeup of course!
Eat some Chia seeds. Ok I’m sure you’re wondering what this has to do with a new spring beauty regimen, but what you don’t know is that these tiny seeds have powerful anti-aging properties and they are chalk full of anti-oxidants which have been known to do some pretty amazing things to your skin.
Refresh your wardrobe with 10 new purchases. It can be easy to fall into the trap of buying too much of what you don’t need. Instead, look at your existing wardrobe and divy up your list by what you do need. Like I’m always needing new tops, can never seem to have enough! So I recently went out and purchased 4 tops, 2 tanks, 2 jackets & 2 skirts as my 10 items.
Overhaul your accessories. When I feel like a makeover, other than changing up my makeup or hair color, I love picking up new jewelry & accessories. Nothing completes an outfit like a pretty scarf or necklace.
Walk. That’s right, grab your ipod, your puppy and hit the pavement. Walking will get your blood circulating and release those feel good endorphins that will help you start your day off right- with a big, bright smile on our face
Many people turn to expensive creams to give them beautiful glowy skin. Save your money and purchase some green veggies instead. A bunch of kale will do more for your skin than most of those BB creams out there!
Commit to a weekly polish change. I know life can get busy sometimes and the last thing on your mind is prob your nails, but committing to a once weekly polish change will keep you feeling fresh and pretty and enjoying all the reasons why it’s so much fun to be a girl
Meditate. Experts say just 5 minutes of meditation a day can tremendously release stress and anxiety, leaving more time in your life for all things positive.
Buy a lipstick you wouldn’t normally buy. Been dying to try that Gwen Stefani red? Go for it! Spring brings with it a ton of change so it’s the perfect time to try something new and what could be easier and more fun than a fun new hue on your pout?
