So I did an appearance on CityTV’s Eye on Asia this past weekend where I was discussing the importance of picking out the right foundation color. I decided to list a few tips for all my readers to help you out with your foundation choice:
1. Look at your face color compared to your neck and chest. Find a color that blends well with all 3. It’s usually better to go with a color that is closer to the darker of the 3. For instance, If your face and chest are closer in color but your neck is lighter, go for a color that matches those 2 and then dust a bronzer on your neck to match. Trying to lighten the other 2 will give the appearance of dull, ashy skin.
2. Assess your skin type. If you have oily skin, a powder foundation would better suit you, versus if you have dry skin and would suit a creamier formula.
3. Look at how much coverage you really need. Don’t go for a full coverage if you have good skin but just a few blemishes. Get a lighter coverage and throw some concealer on problem spots.
4. Get your self rematched every time you go in. We are never the same color in Winter and Summer and our skin color is constantly changing the older we get and more sun exposure we encounter.
I hope these tips help you all out, Happy Monday everyone!

I can’t tell you how mad I am that I missed your tv spot. My alarm didn’t go off until well after the fact. :[
On the bright side, these are some great tips.. skin is the canvas, if it’s wrong it takes away from everything else.
