So this past Friday I had the fabulous opportunity to meet an incredibly successful East Indian (South Asian), none other than singer Jay Sean. It was an amazing day all provided by the wonderful people at Anokhi Magazine and Anokhi’s Exclusive Women’s club (join their facebook fan page!). Jay Sean was in town for a photo shoot for the magazine for one day only but still took time out to meet with us, answer our questions and take pics. I found him to be incredibly humble and a genuinely nice guy. When asked if he ever gets tired of it all, his response was the day he gets tired of it and starts to take it all for granted is the day he shouldn’t be doing it anymore. I think he’s such an inspiration, it is so good to see another Indian doing so well and dominating in an area where no Indian has conquered before. It certainly paves a path for the rest of us. So whether you like his music or not, let’s all unite and stand behind him, proud to see one of our very own at the top!
