Best eyeshadows for Indian skintones

What are the best eyeshadows for Indian skintones? I get asked this question a lot so I decided to put together a list (much like the other lists I’ve created) for you. I’ve included a few options under each category so you can find something that works for you depending on however light or dark your skin is.

I know these are all MAC shadows, by no means do you have to stick to MAC, it’s just the easiest brand to find dupes for. For instance if you were looking for a drugstore brand for the color ricepaper, you would just google “drugstore dupe mac ricepaper” or something to that affect.

Ricepaper- Peachy gold with shimmer

Arena- Soft gold-peach with pearl

Paradisco- Bright pinky-coral with pearl

Lid colors-

All that Glitters- Beige with gold pearl

Woodwinked- Warm antique brown

Sable- Gold plum with bronze pearl

Transition colors-

Soba- Gold brown with gold shimmer

Free to be-Β  Bright true coral

Soft Brown- Soft golden peachy brown

Crease colors-

Folie- Reddish plum brown

Embark- Intense reddish brown

Brun- Muted blackish brown

What do you think, is there any color you would add to this list? If so please comment and share with the rest of us! πŸ™‚

Deepa, this post is absolutely brilliant and so timely!
Just the other day, I was tempted to build my own MAC eyeshadow quad and was struggling to put together colours that I would reach for all the time. Your post have been a complete lifesaver, and I love how you’ve categorized things in 4 sections!
Lastly, as a fellow Indian, I’m confident that these colours will match my skin tone and taste. Thank you so much!
